Temperature Controller
The temperature controller is one of the nicest home automation features. You will no longer have to get up in the middle of the night when you are too hot or too cold. You can simply put the LCD touch screen by your bed. You can adjust the temperature without even getting up.
If you were to install a wireless temperature controller (as an alternative) on its own, it would cost $500-$600. With this in mind, home automation is a bargain because you get to control more than the temperature for not much more.
The other main benefit of the temperature controller is that you can adjust each room to the temperature you like. However, keep in mind you may need furnace or ductwork modifications.
